Start your day the right way!

Breakfast is an important meal, and can set the tone for the rest of the day. Even if you only have one minute to make yourself something to eat, that is still enough time to put together a meal that is nutritious.

 

This breakfast bowl contains natural yogurt, blueberries, chia seeds and flaked almonds and it literally took me less than 30 seconds to throw together. It contains all the components of a balanced meal - protein and fat are in the almonds and yogurt. The chia seeds provide fibre and omega-3 fatty acids, and the blueberries are chock full of antioxidants and vitamin C, as well as giving this bowl some natural sweetness.

 

If you don't eat a good breakfast, you put yourself at risk of getting hungry mid-morning and then reaching for whatever is available - usually the nearest vending machine. Before you rush out the door on Monday morning, make time for breakfast and have a great week!
